Our Story

From a chance encounter in a car park to Australia’s largest RV club

In 1986, Don and Erica Whitworth founded CMCA with a simple vision: a club for motorhome and campervan enthusiasts to socialise, share experiences and support one another on the road.

Within 10 months, membership had passed 500. Today, CMCA has over 60,000 members across more than 31,000 registered vehicles, making us the largest RV club in Australia and the Southern Hemisphere.
